Refund Policy

Short version: downloads aren’t refundable once you’ve downloaded them, because we can’t take a
file back. But if something is wrong with a resource, tell us and we’ll fix it — that’s a different
thing entirely, and it isn’t time-limited.

Subscriptions work differently, and are covered further down.

One-off resources

Once you’ve downloaded a resource, it isn’t refundable.

At checkout you’ll be asked to confirm two things: that you want access straight away, and that you
understand this ends your right to cancel. That’s a legal requirement for digital downloads, not
small print we’ve buried — you have to actively agree to it, and until you do, you keep the standard
14-day cancellation right.

If you change your mind before downloading anything, email modularmusicedu@gmail.com and we’ll refund you. No argument,
no reason needed.

This doesn’t affect your rights if something’s wrong

If a file is corrupt, incomplete, won’t open, or isn’t what the listing described, you’re entitled to
a fix — and none of the above changes that.

Tell us what’s happened and we’ll repair or replace it. If we genuinely can’t, you get your money
back. This applies whenever you find the problem, not just in the first fortnight.

Before you buy

Every resource page lists exactly what’s included, which specification and component it targets, and
what software it assumes. Several have free preview material. If you’re not certain a resource fits
your course, ask us before buying — modularmusicedu@gmail.com — we’d much rather answer a question than take money for
something that turns out to be wrong for you.

Subscriptions

Cancelling

Cancel any time from your account, in a couple of clicks. No email required, no retention call, no
form.

When you cancel, your access continues to the end of the period you’ve paid for. You don’t lose
anything you’ve already paid for, and there’s no partial refund for the time remaining — you keep
using it until it runs out.

Before each renewal

We’ll email you 14 to 30 days before your subscription renews, telling you the date and the
amount. If you don’t want it to renew, cancel any time before that date.

We send this because an unexpected charge is a rotten way to treat someone who’s been paying you all
year. If a renewal ever catches you out, tell us.

After a renewal

If a renewal charge does catch you out, you have 14 days from the charge to ask for a refund, and
we’ll give you one. Your access ends when we refund you.

Anything already downloaded

Files you downloaded during a subscription are yours to keep and keep using, under the standard
licence, even after the subscription ends. You don’t lose your teaching materials because you
stopped subscribing.

Department and school licences

Bought by invoice or purchase order, these follow the same principles, but talk to us directly —
school finance timelines rarely fit a standard refund window, and we’ll sort something sensible.

Exceptions

The above is our normal position, not a wall. If something has clearly gone wrong — a duplicate
purchase, a resource bought for a specification that changed, a subscription nobody at the school
meant to renew — email modularmusicedu@gmail.com and we’ll sort it out. We’d rather fix a problem than win an argument.

How to contact us
