Resources, by exam board
Every resource states its board, component and specification code up front, so you can tell in about ten seconds whether it fits your course. The catalogue is being built board by board rather than thinly across all of them — Cambridge iGCSE first.
Where each board stands

Nothing is listed as available until it has been written, taught against the specification and checked. If your board says “planned”, there is nothing to buy yet — and we would rather tell you that than sell you something adapted from a different syllabus.
Cambridge IGCSE Music (0410 / 0978)
Built against the syllabus for examination in 2026, 2027 and 2028 — version 4, published March 2026.
This matters more than usual right now. The qualification was revised for first assessment in 2026, and materials written for the older specification are wrong on the mark total, on how the composing brief works, and on what the syllabus says about pre-existing loops. Every resource here is built from the current document, and each one names the exact edition it was checked against.
Component 3: Composing
- Composition 2 — BandLab. A complete unit for the DAW-based composition: choosing an area of study, writing a brief you can actually answer, composing in BandLab, the official commentary template, and the submission checklist. Assumes no music technology background. Releasing now.
- Composition 1 — notation. The staff-notated companion, so the two compositions are planned together rather than separately. In development.
Syllabus 0978 is the same qualification with a different grading scale. Everything applies unchanged.
What’s in a resource pack
Each pack is a complete unit, not a single lesson. A typical one contains:
- A teaching deck built as a reference students return to across two to four weeks, not a one-lesson slideshow.
- Lesson plans in full starter / main / plenary format, with the questions written in.
- A student workbook that runs the whole unit — brief, process log, commentary template, peer check and confidence rating.
- A teacher’s guide of two to three pages, with pacing, differentiation and assessment cues — plus a separate additional information file for the software detail and the think-aloud scripts.
- A questioning bank — recall starters, checkpoints and misconception re-checks, for the weeks when coursework time gets broken up.
Everything arrives as editable .docx and .pptx files, not locked PDFs, with print-ready PDFs alongside. Change the examples, cut the slides you don’t need, rewrite the tasks in your own voice.
How resources are labelled
- Evergreen — safe to reuse every year without checking.
- Annually verify — built around something the board rotates, such as a set work or prescribed repertoire. Flagged so you know to check before reusing it.
Every pack also names the software it assumes. Where that software is BandLab, it is the free tier, in a browser, with no installation and nothing for your network manager to approve.
Where to buy
First releases go on Tes, with Teachers Pay Teachers to follow. Buying directly from this site is coming, and direct is where the department licence (five named teachers) and the whole-school licence live, since the marketplaces don’t support them.
